Week 4
Two quick notices - next week we are planning a trip to Putaruru to visit our pen pals in the rest home. We will have our Room 3 poetry competition this term. Children my recite a poem written by someone else, or they may write their own to recite. Date for judging still to be confirmed.
Dear Parents, Whanau and friends,
This is a short, action packed term and we will be aiming for as much learning, teaching and educational experiences as possible before the end of the year.
One of our goals this term is to look at appropriate commenting on the class Blog. We will be aiming for keeping you up to date with what we are doing at least 2 to 3 times a week, and will be hoping that you can make some comments on our activities.
Preview Term 3
This is the last week of term .Remember to keep reading every night, keep learning your spelling words and your maths facts.
If you have a pet for agricultural day you will need to be spending time with your animal.
Look at bridges: types of bridges, materials they are made from, what travels over them, where in the world they are. Make you own bridge out of blocks, boxes, sticks,
Try and fit in some extra fitness like riding your bike, skipping, running, dancing, walking to get super fit for the cross country in a few weeks.
Keep reading every day.
Review basic addition to 10, then to 20. Check that your child can skip count in 2's. 5's and 10's to 100.
Stars maths group need to continue revising multiplication facts, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x learn the rest if you know all these ones !
There is spelling every night. either spellbound or other list words. Remember to review those tricky words.
